12-Month Extended warranty
1. About This Extended Warranty
This Extended Warranty provides an additional 12 months’ protection for eligible products supplied by Portable Space Ltd.
It is offered as a voluntary, additional warranty and applies only where it is purchased at the same time as the product. The Extended Warranty cannot be purchased retrospectively after the product has been supplied or delivered.
The Extended Warranty applies after the expiry of the standard manufacturer’s warranty, subject to the terms set out below.
Where the purchaser is a consumer, nothing in these terms limits or affects any rights they may have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
2. Who This Warranty Applies To
This Extended Warranty applies to:
- Business customers, and
- Consumers (individuals acting outside their trade, business, or profession)
Where the purchaser is a consumer, this Extended Warranty is provided in addition to statutory rights and does not replace or restrict them.
The warranty is:
- Valid only for the original purchaser
- Non-transferable
- Applicable only to products supplied directly by Portable Space Ltd
3. Purchase Requirement
This Extended Warranty:
- Must be purchased at the same time as the product
- Must appear on the original order, quotation, or invoice
- Cannot be added, activated, or reinstated after purchase or delivery
No cover will apply where the Extended Warranty has not been purchased in accordance with this clause.
4. Eligible Products
This Extended Warranty applies only to the following products:
- Flatpack Units
- Steel Anti Vandal Cabins
- Containers
Unless expressly agreed in writing, the warranty applies only to the main unit structure and original supplied components and excludes consumables and accessories.
5. Warranty Period
This Extended Warranty applies only to the following products:
- The Extended Warranty lasts 12 months
- It begins on the day immediately following expiry of the standard warranty
- Repairs or replacements under this warranty do not extend or renew the warranty period
6. Geographic Coverage
This Extended Warranty applies within the United Kingdom only.
Products located outside the UK are excluded from this cover.
7. What is Covered
The Extended Warranty covers faults that arise during the warranty period as a result of:
- Manufacturing defects
- Defective materials
- Faulty workmanship
Where a valid claim is accepted, Portable Space Ltd will determine the appropriate remedy, which may include:
- Repair of the defective component
- Replacement of the defective component
- An alternative reasonable remedy
This discretion applies only to this Extended Warranty and does not affect statutory remedies available under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
8. What is Not Covered
This Extended Warranty does not cover the following, unless the issue arises from a fault present at the time of delivery.
General Exclusions
- Fair wear and tear
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect structural integrity or function
- Natural weathering or environmental exposure beyond normal operating conditions
- Accidental damage
Misuse and Improper Use
- Use of the product for purposes other than those intended or specified by Portable Space Ltd
- Overloading or exceeding design limits
- Improper installation, relocation, or dismantling
- Use outside stated operational or environmental specifications
Damage and Alterations
- Damage caused by negligence, misuse, abuse, or vandalism
- Unauthorised modifications or alterations
- Repairs carried out by third parties not approved by Portable Space Ltd
- Failure to follow operating, inspection, or maintenance instructions
External Causes
- Fire, flooding, extreme weather, impact, or force majeure events
- Damage caused by pests, vermin, or foreign objects
Maintenance and Consumables
- Routine maintenance
- Serviceable or consumable items
- Surface finishes, coatings, seals, or trims, unless failure results from a manufacturing defect
9. Customer Responsibilities
To maintain coverage under this Extended Warranty, the customer must:
- Use the product only for its intended purpose
- Install, operate, and maintain it in accordance with guidance provided by Portable Space Ltd
- Carry out reasonable inspections and routine maintenance
- Retain proof of purchase and warranty documentation
- Notify Portable Space Ltd promptly upon discovering a potential fault
Failure to meet these responsibilities may affect coverage where it has caused or contributed to the fault.
10. How To Make A Claim
To submit a claim, the customer must provide:
- Proof of purchase
- Warranty reference or serial number
- A clear description of the issue
- Photographic or video evidence (where requested)
- Details of the product’s location and usage conditions
- Confirmation that no unauthorised repairs or alterations have been carried out

Portable Space Ltd reserves the right to inspect the product on site or request return of defective components where reasonably practicable.
11. Claim Assessment and Financial Limits
- All claims are subject to assessment and approval by Portable Space Ltd
- The maximum liability under this Extended Warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product or affected component
- Labour, transport, lifting equipment, access costs, removal, and reinstallation are not included unless expressly agreed in writing
- This limitation applies only to this Extended Warranty and does not limit statutory rights
12. Number of Claims
Portable Space Ltd reserves the right to decline repeated claims where faults result from:
- Misuse
- Incorrect operation
- Failure to maintain the product in line with provided guidance
Claims are assessed fairly and on a case by case basis.
13. When This Warranty May Be Void
This Extended Warranty may be invalidated where the following have caused or contributed to the fault:
- Unauthorised modifications or repairs
- Relocation without prior written approval
- Transfer or resale of the product
- Provision of false or misleading information in support of a claim
14. Statutory Rights
This Extended Warranty:
This Extended Warranty is provided in addition to the customer’s statutory rights and does not limit or exclude any rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
