Team Delivers Vision For Sisters’ Coffee Company
Two sisters have seen their joint business ambitions come true with the opening of their new café, housed in a converted container.

Installed directly within the station concourse, the kiosk provides commuters with high-quality barista coffee and grab-and-go refreshments in a compact, durable retail space.
Located on a busy commuter route with direct rail links to London St Pancras and Luton Airport, Corby Train Station presented an ideal location for a new coffee operator.
Brewbox wanted a kiosk that offered the industrial look and feel of a shipping container café. However, installing a traditional container inside the station wasn’t possible due to access restrictions at the busy site.
The business needed a solution that could be transported and installed inside the station concourse, provide a practical serving space, allow flexibility for internal fit-out and branding, be robust and long lasting, and have a modern industrial design.
Portable Space supplied a 3m Flat Pack Kiosk, which met all the needs of Brewbox. Designed specifically for locations where access is limited, the unit made of person-portable metal panels, was carried into the station and assembled directly within the concourse. This allowed Brewbox to achieve the container-style aesthetic they wanted without the challenges of moving a traditional shipping container into the busy building. Should the kiosk ever need to be moved, it can be dismantled back into its flat pack form and transported to a new location.

Security was another key advantage of the flat pack kiosk. Its steel construction offers a far higher level of protection than many timber or fabric-based kiosk alternatives, helping to protect against vandalism and keep equipment and stock secure when the unit is unmanned. The double-lock doors and serving hatch further enhance security, making it an ideal solution for busy public locations such as train stations.
Once assembled, the Brewbox team got to work customising the kiosk to meet the operational needs of a busy coffee business. Electrics and water were connected, while the interior was fully ply lined and finished with a durable coating ideal for hospitality use. The internal fit-out included all the equipment and preparation space needed to operate the business, while a striking feature plant wall was added to bring the brand vision to life.
Externally, Brewbox enhanced the container-style design with timber cladding and plant wall along the hatch panel, creating an attractive retail space that stands out within the station environment.
Since opening, Brewbox has quickly become a popular stop for commuters travelling through Corby Train Station.
