Portable Space has completed the Cyber Innovate to Elevate (CItE) programme, an initiative delivered by Freeport East in partnership with the University of Essex, and funded by Innovate UK. Portable Space was chosen as one of only eight companies to take part in the project at its launch.
Strengthening Our Position as Digital Market Leaders
As a long-standing leader in online cabin and container sales and hire, Portable Space has always prioritised strong cybersecurity. Taking part in the CItE programme provided the opportunity to work with cybersecurity specialists from the University of Essex and gain additional insight that will help the us continue to stay ahead.
Strengthening our cybersecurity expertise helps ensure customers that every interaction, from exploring product options on our website to placing an order, remains smooth, secure and dependable.
Supporting Cyber Awareness Across the Region
On Thursday 12 March, Ashley Barratt and Ryan Taber from the Portable Space team took part in a panel at the University of Essex. They shared their experience of the CItE programme and helped raise awareness of how businesses can strengthen their digital resilience.
Ryan Taber concluded:
“For us, staying ahead is essential. The programme helped us look at the future of cybersecurity so we can keep our customers confident that they’re dealing with a reliable and trusted supplier.”
The programme’s initial registration received more than 150 expressions of interest, triple the original target. The strong response shows how valuable initiatives like this are for strengthening cybersecurity across our region, and we are pleased to play a part in supporting businesses in East Anglia and beyond.
