Creating Opportunities For Young People

Sector
Clubs, Events & Hospitality

At Portable Space, we are committed to investing in the future, and this means creating opportunities for young people to thrive.

Portable Space is proud to support Inspire, a local charity dedicated to providing more opportunities for young people. As part of our commitment, we supplied changing and toilet facilities for Inspire’s Lindbergh Road site in Ipswich, ensuring that their football pitches are fully equipped for activities and programs.

Our Managing Director, Mark Dolman, shared why supporting Inspire’s mission resonated with us:

“We’re a company that invests heavily in youth development and trying to bring young people through. I think it’s an important way for a business to progress.

“Inspire works with young people who often get forgotten about and don’t get the help and support they need, but there is a huge amount of potential in that pool of people. We have to try to get them in the working environment and help them be successful.

“I think there’s a really important step between the ages of 16 and 21, where young people get to develop and are given opportunities.”

Mark also drew from his personal experience, having left school with no qualifications and working his way up from a hire controller to Managing Director over the past 11 years at Portable Space.

“I love people that have passion, drive and energy, but maybe not the qualifications or support network to help harness them,. I think what I recognise is the amount of talent there is in people.”

Terry Baxter, CEO of Inspire, expressed gratitude for the partnership:

“We are so grateful to Portable Space, a great Suffolk-based business, for their support in providing outdoor changing and toilet facilities at our Lindbergh Road site in Ipswich. Following the development of our grass and all-weather pitches, these portable units provide a brilliant space for teams to change and use other facilities. Thank you, Portable Space!”

By working with Inspire, Portable Space is proud to support initiatives that give young people a platform to grow, develop, and succeed in both sports and life.
