The holiday season is a time for giving, and this December, we proudly gave back to our local community through two meaningful initiatives.
At the start of the month, our Commercial Manager, Lauren Gladding, had the honour of delivering gifts to the Stowmarket Salvation Army as part of their Christmas Present Appeal. Thanks to the generosity of our amazing team members, we filled three boxes with gifts, ensuring children in our community had something to smile about on Christmas morning.
The Salvation Army’s dedicated volunteers carefully sorted donations by age range, preparing them for distribution. With contributions from individuals and local businesses, they were able to provide 137 children across 66 families with bags of gifts—a tremendous effort that brought joy to so many. Supporting such a vital initiative was truly a privilege, and we’re grateful to the Salvation Army for their tireless work in making the festive season brighter for local families.
On 12th December, we joined in the festive spirit once again by participating in Christmas Jumper Day, raising funds for Home Start in Suffolk. The Portable Space team donned their favourite festive knits, with each jumper sparking a £5 donation to this wonderful charity.
Home Start in Suffolk is a lifeline for families in need, offering confidential emotional and practical support through a network of over 280 fully trained volunteers. Our donations will help fund volunteer visits, telephone support, and the training of new helpers, ensuring the charity can continue its invaluable work.
As part of the tradition, our team gathered for a group photo in our colourful Christmas jumpers—a moment of fun that makes a real difference. We’re proud to support such meaningful causes and look forward to doing it all again next year.
