Some of you may know that we have been on an incredible journey with the development and build of our brand-new headquarters in Bacton, Suffolk. Making the impossible, possible, at times looked unachievable! However, thanks to a team of steadfast, passionate, and highly experienced professionals, we can now unveil our stunning and innovative new HQ.

Last week, we were joined by Ashley Shorey-Mills, Head of Sizewell C Supply Chain Engagement at Suffolk Chamber of Commerce who cut the ribbon to declare our phenomenal new building open. Also attending the celebratory unveiling were Craig Beech and Jamie Eden of Beech Architects, who worked tirelessly and very closely with our Managing Director, Mark Dolman throughout the project to ensure its delivery and success, plus guests including customers, partners, representatives, and colleagues to mark this very special milestone for our company.

This is the first purpose-built space for us which has been designed to facilitate our expanding and experienced team. Our vision for future growth at our Suffolk premises will no doubt include further plans for development, and we’re excited to see where phase two takes us! For now, however, we are relishing and flourishing in our new environment and feel very lucky to have achieved a significant uplift for the business and everyone connected to it.

The building itself responds to its core context yet is uniquely of its place and time. It is a representative architype, designed to fit both our business and landscape. The new workplace is already empowering our employees so that they can better serve customers, while complementing and adding a new lease of life to the business park.

Officially opening the new HQ, on behalf of Portable Space, Ashley Shorey-Mills, Head of Sizewell C Supply Chain Engagement, Suffolk Chamber of Commerce commented: “Suffolk Chamber of Commerce were delighted to be invited to celebrate the successful opening of the new Head Quarters of Portable Space. Seeing local members thriving and growing in the way in which Mark and his team have done, gives confidence and pride in what Suffolk can achieve. From humble beginnings, they have grown year in, year out, and the new HQ is testament to their desire to be a major player in their market. Congratulations to the whole team and we wish you many more years of success.”

Also speaking at the launch party, Host, Founder and Chairman Mark Black said: “Commitment to personal development and training has always been a big part of our values and culture, and we are really thankful for those working within the business, and those who have grown with us. With a head count of 64 and positioned number 82 in ‘Suffolk’s Largest Businesses’, I am also extremely proud of our contribution to Suffolk, it’s communities and the local economy.”

Leading the project, whilst being at the core of every decision from start to completion, Managing Director Mark Dolman said: “What this building does for us now, is it presents us with a unique opportunity to really take the business forward over the coming years. We have an exciting 5-year plan which delivers further growth and opportunities for our colleagues and the local community. We have got something we can be really proud of, and this new HQ will be the enabler for us to take on many more B2B and B2C projects and large-scale opportunities. The future of Portable Space has never been brighter and the timing never more exciting.”

The inspiring new HQ offers integrity and continuity of expression both inside and out and has been expertly specified to the highest of standards, ultimately giving a huge vote of confidence for our dynamic team and all of our customers.
