Case Study: Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club

Portable Space Enhances Local Rugby Club’s Facilities

Sector
Clubs, Events & Hospitality

Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club is the leading community rugby club in Norfolk and Suffolk. Based at The Green King IPA Haberden in Bury St Edmunds, the club runs multiple men’s, women’s and junior teams, playing a key role in the development of rugby across the region.

Based at the grounds are two of Portable Space’s flat pack kiosks and a modular building used to offer refreshments and a space for their sponsors to enjoy hospitality on game days.

The Atkins Dellow Sponsors Lounge.

Located pitch side with the best view in the house, our modular building operates as a sponsor’s lounge. Inside is kitted out with a kitchen and decorated with modern panelling and photo walls giving the room an aesthetic and personal design.

Flat Pack Bar.

Behind our modular build is one of our flat pack kiosks operating as a bar, serving both spectators and sponsors. It’s a great way to utilise outside space and avoid queues at the club’s main bar.

Flat Pack Coffee Stand.

Within the club’s fan village is one of our Flat Pack Kiosks, previously used as a BBQ hut on game days which proved very popular. More recently, it is being used as a coffee bar to serve fans with drinks and sweet treats on game days as well as during the week. It is a great example of how versatile our Flat Pack Kiosks are, as well as how personalised you can make them and the service you provide for your customers.

The role Portable Space has played in enhancing the facility here at the Harberden, its spectator experience, and the range of commercial and hospitality offering we can provide here has been immense

Will Affleck, Commercial Director

Portable Space has helped to move the club forward with these facilities that have improved both the spectator’s and sponsor’s experience. We are proud to support Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club and it’s been great to see our products have a positive impact across their grounds.
